Tamar Kiknadze

Tamar currently holds the position of Associate at BLC. Her practice focuses primarily on Securities Law, Payment Systems, regulation of Virtual Asset Service Providers, Data Protection and civil litigation. Tamar's professional expertise also encompasses corporate and contract law, financial compliance, employment law, and competition law.
Tamar began her legal career at another top-tier Georgian law firm, where she was actively engaged in drafting complex commercial agreements, conducting due diligence, preparing legal memoranda, and advising clients on corporate governance, labor, and competition law matters. She later served as In-House Counsel at a leading Payment Services Provider in Georgia, where her work focused on contractual structuring, regulatory compliance, and the implementation of anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing procedures. In 2025, Tamar joined BLC Law Office, where she continues to strengthen her expertise in financial and regulatory law, with a focus on emerging technologies and digital finance.
Tamar holds a Bachelor's Degree in Law from the Free University of Tbilisi and is currently pursuing a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Business Law at the same institution.
Throughout her academic journey, Tamar has distinguished herself in international moot court competitions. She represented Georgia in the Philip C. Jessup Competition twice, advancing to the international rounds in Washington, D.C. in 2023 and ranking among the Top 200 Oralists worldwide. She also earned multiple awards at the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot and the Central and Eastern European Moot Court Competition. Beyond competing, Tamar mentors student teams.
