BLC continues supporting Georgian teams for Willem C. Vis Moot Court Competition.
This year, BLC provided considerable support to GIPA team for 22ndWillem C. Vis Moot Competition. The team received coaching and guidance from BLC lawyers - Rusa Tchkuaseli and Nino Sesitashvili – 2009 Willem C. Vis Moot alumni. Also, while preparing for the competition, GIPA team had permanent excess to BLC premises, library and materials.
It is noteworthy that GIPA team comprising of KhatiaGogilashvili, KetevanGivishvili, Darina Beridze and MikheilShatashvili was the first Georgian team to win Tbilisi Pre-Moot! The Team ranked 1st among 11 teams participating in 4th Tbilisi Pre-Moot from different universities of Georgia, Belorussia, Latvia and Germany.
The Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot fosters the study of international commercial law and arbitration among students from different countries. Competition is an annual event held since 1994 in Vienna, Austria and unites students, leading lawyer practitioners and scholars around the globe.
