We are delighted to announce that the Law of Georgia on Rehabilitation and Collective Satisfaction of Creditors, prepared within the scope of insolvency reform, entered into force on 1 April 2021.
The new law provides for new opportunities for effective and business friendly restructuring of distressed businesses, which will be an important instrument in battling the economic crisis brought by the pandemic.
Practitioners that are interested in this field have an opportunity to become acquainted with the “Basis of Insolvency Proceedings according to the Law of Georgia on Rehabilitation and Collective Satisfaction of Creditors” - the first textbook prepared under the new law.
