Junior Associate

Mariam Kobalia is a Junior Associate at BLC. Her practice focuses on contract law, corporate advisory and disputes, as well as financial regulatory matters. She is involved in drafting and conducting structured reviews of a broad range of commercial agreements and corporate documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable legal requirements, and contributing to the development of corporate strategies. Her work also includes preparing statements of claim, complaints, and other procedural documents in connection with court proceedings, competition law disputes, and matters before other public bodies, as well as developing legal opinions and memoranda on a wide range of matters, including corporate, financial, and regulatory issues.

Before joining BLC, Mariam worked as a paralegal at Montpellier Sentinel Legal, where she gained experience in civil and commercial disputes, contract drafting, legal research, and client representation. She previously served as a lawyer at Tbilisi City Hall, providing legal expertise on municipal acts, drafting acts of the mayor, and reviewing draft legal acts for compliance with Georgian legislation. Her experience also includes several legal internships and work as a Research Assistant at Ilia State University.

  • Advised on company incorporations and a broad range of corporate matters, including the drafting of incorporation documents, charters, shareholders’ resolutions, minutes of general meetings, and other corporate instruments;
  • Drafted, reviewed, and negotiated a broad range of commercial contracts, including SaaS agreements, employment agreements, and related amendments, while supporting clients throughout the negotiation process;
  • Developed legal opinions, memoranda, procedural documents, and supporting documentation across a wide range of legal matters, providing comprehensive legal and strategic support.
